<p>D is applying for college this fall and we're doing the CSS profile at the moment</p>

<p>Just a quick question, </p>

<p>prospective students are applying for 2009-2010 or so I understand, 2008-2009 students are either transfer or already in college...</p>

<p>I haven't filed for the tax return 2008 form, what are you guys putting for that on the CSS profile? Do you just put an estimate? like for the 2009 estimates?</p>

<p>You file the 2009-2010 profile, estimating the 2008 figures based on your 2007 tax forms, paycheck stubs and other documentation. </p>

<p>You want the estimate to be as accurate as possible, so that your financial aid will be accurate. The school will ask for updated figures (along with 2008 tax forms) in early 2008.</p>

<p>the 2008-2009 profile is for students attending school in the 2008-2009 school year.</p>
