I was just wondering if your financial package was posted online in the BU applicant link or just sent to you through the mail?

If it’s online where do I check? The financial assistance status page doesn’t have it and I feel like that’s the only logical location.

Thank you all very much.

**Special shoutout to AliAngel, Lergnom, & BUBailey! Your answers on this forum are very much appreciated by longtime lurkers such as myself! :)

For me, it was both. The same amounts are listed online and in the letter I got in the mail (as it should be.) I will check my online account to see where exactly the fin info is.
Speaking of financial aid, I also have a question, hope you don’t mind, but would 2nd,3rd,4th year financial aid differ a lot from what we see now? Assuming that parents stay at the same salary and the student is in good academic standing.

^It’s under “Financial Assistance Decision” I have no idea why yours is not showing up. =/

Gia89- your fin aid can actually differ from year to year pretty substantially, but of course it will depend on certain things. Freshman year, I thought everything was going to work out…I had a few outside scholarships that helped out. Sophomore year, suddenly my bill was a lot larger. I didn’t lose aid…but my aid didn’t go up along with tuition. I also didn’t have the one-year outside scholarships anymore, something I kind of overlooked. It was a much more difficult year financially. Then this year I got an RA job which helped a ton and my younger brother went to college, so everything is now back to normal. Basically just keep in mind things like local scholarships you might get senior year of high school that only apply one year, tuition hikes, and siblings.

i actually didn’t have a financial aid package either, and its because, for some reason, they either never got my fafsa or my tax returns (can’t remember 4 years later). i called and they were “generous” in giving me the dean’s scholarship, which did carry over all 4 years ($10,000 per year). call them immediately if you’re not sure.

bubailey, where are u an RA?! im an RA as well!

Siccck. I’ve never seen the brownstone RA rooms…bet they’re really nice. And yeah, I was an ASB coordinator last year and Eric was one of my volunteers!
