Financial Aid -- Regular decision

I just got my acceptance email yesterday (after being rejected by Notre Dame a few hours earlier) and am wondering if my projected fin aid package will come with my official acceptence letter? If not, when do they come?
Thanks all

Try calling the financial aid office to see if they sent those out or not. 1-800-222-6242.

thanks
i called and was told they were mailed out usps priority yesterday

merit scholarships will come with the admissions packet. fin aid stuff will come later. I just got my admissions folder (which looks good by the way) with a half tuition scholarship.

wow...thats a pretty awesome scholorship! what are your gpa and scores?

I'm really nervous about aid. I'm in that "too rich to get need, but still can't foot 50k/yr." category. My EFC was lower than 50k though, so I suppose I'll get some loans or something. My scores aren't outstanding, but are somewhere between average and slightly above by GWU standards. Just waiting on a packet!

Almost Irish2006-Thanks!! My unweighted GPA is 3.91 and weighted GPA is 4.64. My SAT score: 670 CR, 700 M, 700 W (1370, 2070). I feel that if my SAT score was higher, I would have gotten more money.

Anyone know how else I can afford GW? I'm not eligible for need even though my parents can't pay $20,000 a year. I don't know much about financial aid and all the different types of loans. I don't like loans either, but if you guys have suggestions please let me know.

Yay! I got a 1/2 tuition scholarship too. I can sort of (not really) afford it now. Does merit aid subtract from need aid or are the two completely seperate? For instance, if I was entitled to need aid based on my EFC, but I received a merit scholarship, do I still get my need aid even if it is surpassed by my merit award?

no, you can only get the full amount which is around $50,000. they try to give as much merit/scholarship as possible before anything else. I'll be staying at home because I live so near the university, but I'm in the same financial situation you are in.
