financial aid requests...

I'm waiting for my decision as an RD applicant because I was deferred in the ED I round. However, about a couple of weeks ago, Swarthmore sent me some paperwork indicating documents they still needed in order to formulate my financial aid package. A couple of days ago I received an additional yet similar request because apparently we forgot one of the documents. I hate to jump to conclusions, but does this mean that I have been accepted? I mean, would the school be making a financial aid package for me if I wasn't getting in?

Hmmmmm...I'm not trying to raise any hopes here...but uhhh I didn't turn in my tax returns for Swat, and they sent me a fin aid request postmarked March 7.

I ended up getting an early write a week after....

So...perhaps it might be a sign? It could also just be a coincidence.

Anyway...that is all.

GL! =]

I got my early write like a week after my financial aid request too... I think it's a good sign.

I was accepted EDI i also got the same reminder as you about financial aid (mines much later)

ill keep my fingers crossed :)

I also got my early write a week after the requested financial aid stuff.

I also got my early write a week after a personalized letter requesting financial aid stuff. Hmmm....I bet you're smiling. Good luck!!!

i applied and never received that letter

i also received an early write

just shows u not to read too much into this stuff

Maybe you didn't receive a letter because your financial aid file was complete. Was it? What would really negate this trend is if someone got a letter about financial aid and then got rejected. So far no one's come forward with that story.

To the OP I also got a fin aid missing docs request and then an Early Write a few weeks later. I can't say for sure, but I can't see why the school would be worrying about your financial aid so late into the year and if they had rejected you. But of course I don't know.
