When you get your acceptance letters in April or whenever, do they include with it your financial aid and merit scholarship award amounts?<br>
I would hope so, because that's how I'll be deciding!

<p>This answer completely varies by college. Many do include the financial aid offer with the acceptance, several send it later. You might check last year's postings in the college subforums for the colleges in which you are interested.</p>
<p>FYI, of the 7 colleges to which my daughter was accepted, I think 5 sent the offer with the acceptance, 2 sent it later.</p>

<p>My DD received letters (from 3 colleges) offering merit awards BEFORE her financial aid packages arrived. She thought the first letter was simply a congratulatory note from the dean of her college and almost stopped reading it - guess she was getting tired of all the letters at that point. It was just a regular letter - not a large envelope of anything. After that, she carefully read everything she received.</p>
