What sort of financial aid or scholarships am I looking at with a 32 ACT and a 4.0 GPA? I know there are more factors than those two, and I'll most likely try for a higher ACT score, but I'm still curious. Information about guaranteed aid or other aid would be great.

Apply to University of South Carolina AND complete their honors college/scholarship application by December 1 (check to see what the due date if for this upcoming admissions round). With a 32 ACT and your GPA from high school, you could be in contention for a McNair Scholarship (full ride plus laptop), Cooper Scholarship ($4000 a year BUT you also get the in state tuition rate) or the McKissick Scholarship ($2000 year with the instate tuition rate).

Do you mean need based aid, merit aid or both?

It’s amazing how many people haven’t figured out how the search link works.

Redroses - more merit aid than need based, but I don’t mind any kind of information.

Erin’s Dad - thanks, that looks really helpful.

Blue pen…

The link above will bring you to **assured **scholarships for stats. Those schools are good to apply to for financial match and safety schools because if you have the stats, you get the scholarship.

For instance with your stats, Bama would give you free tuition - even as an OOS student. And…If you major in engineering or computer science, the College of Engineering will give you an additional $2500 per year…

Other schools have competitive merit. Those are also ok to apply to, but you can’t count of winning one.
