Financial Aid Situation! NEED HELP.

QUESTION: IS THE IDOC ONLY FOR NEED-BASED FINANCIAL AID?
because i don't want to apply for that!

SO, I submitted my FAFSA and CSS Profile to all the appropriate schools..
BUT, my IDOC has not been sent in yet (yes, the application deadline was yesterday).
However, on most of the schools I'm applying to, the IDOC submission deadline is March 15/April 15
Now, my parents will probably have their taxes done by the end of the week (believe me, i've been nagging them forever about this..and it still hasn't been done..to my extreme frustration.)

Will everything be fine, technically on the CollegeBoard website it says that March 1 is the deadline...but what do you do if your 2012 hasn't been filed yet..just wait it out?

Unfortunately, I didn't make it in time for Columbia. But I called/e-mailed them my situation, and faxed my 2011 stuff.
Should everything be fine?

Here is a list of schools I'm applying to, if anybody wants to check it out to see if my deadlines areee indeeed coreeect:
STANFORD- APRIL 15
JHU- MARCH 15
YALE- MARCH 15
HARVARD- APRIL 27
BROWN- MARCH 15
NORTHWESTERN- APRIL 15
COLUMBIA- MARCH 1

I'm applying to more schools, but according to collegeboard, these are the only ones that require the IDOC.

FAFSA, Profile and IDOC (which is simply the document clearinghouse for Profile) are all for need based FA.

This is definitely the dumbest thing I’ve ever written…probably ever…in my life.

moral of story: don’t procrastinate

Ha! I’ve been nagging my mother to do her taxes also! Seems like when we (the children) need them done for school, they always procrastinate, lol. Anyway, to answer your question. I’d call the schools directly and ask them. Seems like you’ve missed Columbia since there’s says “March 1”.

^ yea i sent in my 2011 for columbia, as requested on their website…
i’m going to contact other schools and let them know the situation. i just don’t know how to get them to do this one little thing, it seems as though it means nothing for them.
