I have to wait until Monday to get this question answered by the school I'm transferring to.
I decided to stay at my current school until end of fall semester, but for Spring semester I'm transferring to my local 4 year school.

Just wondering what aid is typically given out at Spring semester. I know I will get one of my grants for sure, but I was more curious to know if the pell grant was given out. I do have an appointment set up with one of the assistant directors at my current school because she will tell me how to cancel the aid I was getting with them.

Pell will be available as long as you haven’t already used 100% of your annual award (this would only be the case if your other school has a summer header, and you attended full time in both summer and fall semesters).

You would be eligible for the remainder of your Stafford loan eligibility for the year, but the amount is based on year in school. If you received half the sophomore amount, for example, in fall but the new school only classifies you as freshman, you would only be eligible for the remainder of the freshman annual limit.

Most schools do not have SEOG, institutional grants, or even work study available by the time spring rolls around - it’s first come, first served & generally long gone. You never know, though.
