If the scholarships that are given by UF are not listed, does that mean we have not received them? Or do the recipients get notified at a different (later) time?

i have the same question. I am hoping for some type of oos aid. But…

i have that question as well

I’m hoping that they just haven’t put it up yet, but they have a section where they talk about “predicted” scholarships, based on info from the admissions office. That makes me think that if there isn’t anything up yet we probably aren’t getting anything else.

Edit: Just to elaborate a little.

UF Admissions Scholarships The UF Office of Admissions awards academic scholarships to incoming freshmen and transfer students based on academic ability and achievement.

If a Predicted President, UF Platinum, UF Gold, or UF Alliance Scholarship is listed as part of your award, we have used information from the UF Admissions Office to predict that you may be eligible for this scholarship. The Office of Admissions will make final determination for these scholarships.

Where did you see the information that talks about predicted scholarships. I am not seeing this on mine.

Maybe scholarship info comes out with financial aid notices, which I just read were released on April 1st. That was my assumption…

i was under the impression that the financial aid package we received today would have included the Admission scholarships if they were granted. (it would have said “predicted” - as menioned by a previous poster).

anyone know anything to the contrary?

has anyone else NOT been notified about their financial package? Everyone else seems to have found out about theirs, but mine isn’t posted yet… uh oh?

My daughter hasn’t gotten her financial aid package either. I called UF today and they said not to worry. That financial aid packages are sent out whenever they are ready. He said that they have all of this month until April 1. This is what I was told when I called.

@helicoptermom: Thanks! that was super helpful, I feel alot better now :)

It’s the 17th and no financial aid info yet, thanks for the info… My D wants to make her final decision.

yeah i really wanna hear about scholarships soon…

hey guys. about the scholarship, my friend said when she checked out her financial aid awards that she got a university scholarship already

but did she apply for fa? because those who haven’t… I don’t think have been awarded the scholarships

So financial aid office has been saying that financial aid is released on a rolling basis of a couple thousand email each day because they have to send like 50,000 emails. All financial aid noticifications will have been sent by April 1st. And I am fairly sure, though not positive, that you won’t find out about scholarships until you get your financial aid award notification. Atleast this is what finaid at UF has said when I spoke with them on the phone.

Sorry guys, I just emailed Ms. Johnson, the coordinator for the Presidential scholarship. Basically, she said that they only give out about 300 merit scholarships per year (she said that all accepted students were eligible, which seems odd given that it seems only minorities have won them) and that they’ve all already been given out. If you don’t have anything on ISIS, you didn’t get anything.

Well thanks for calling…I am officially not attending the University of Florida.

Oh, well with a 35 ACT and 4.0 uw GPA I’m sure you’ll get some rather large scholarships elsewhere.

It doesn’t appear that way…but oh well. I wish everyone the best in their college search!

I’m sorry to hear that Tebow. Best of luck, hope everything works out.
