Has this happened to any of you guys, where Cornell might have possibly lost your stuff? My parents definitely sent the right financial aid materials to the correct address (I double-checked) to Cornell, yet they have not received it.

Well, i think Cornell has received my financial aid things but for some reason, it still says ‘X’ at my SAT score section.

I’ve sent it 3 times and it still says it has not been received. I emailed them and they told me to wait a couple more days so i’ll suggest you do the same. If not, then give the financial aid office a call and see what they can do.

Ok, i just checked my email and they said i have some missing info on my financial aid. I think you (we) should send the things again and give them a call and ask if they have received it in a day. I’ll probably fax mine.

Ya I know for a fact i sent the things they say I am missing

So do I :/

It took Cornell about 1 month to process my financial aid stuff, so don’t be worried =]

it happens constantly. i really wasn’t aware of the actual amount of paperwork they go through until i saw it for myself. the likelihood that they lost your stuff is probably about 115%. it’s on you to make sure you get everything in, even though it shouldn’t be.

I also thought my files were lost and I have just called the financial aid office. They said they are still not done processing all the materials! I have sent my materials before Jan 1 and today is Feb 17! They either must be receiving zillions of materials or my files are lost. However, having my files sent from outside USA directly to the Admissions Office - instead of financial aid office - must have had an impact too.

I mailed/faxed what the papers they ‘claim’ to be missing from my application in today. Should arrive there soon.

They seem to update information quickly as i’ve been sending all my ‘missing’ stuff and it has been updated on my account by the time i check it again.

^ yea i agree with Fasinro. They’ve been fairly quick with updating the missing info. If all fails, just call them.
