If you're going to UW with the help of financial aid and want to take community college classes in summer because it's cheaper, can we apply for financial aid there? (Without taking away my financial aid for the regular school year for UW)
Unsupported by parents, but I want to be ahead.

You didn’t mention which campus you are a student at or which community college you want to take classes at! If you’re a UW-T student in the dual enrollment program, you may take classes at TCC, with financial assistance. That goes for UW-B students and ECC. However, UW-S doesn’t have any agreements with other community colleges, so you would have to pay out-of-pocket for summer term at another institution. Most students that do this either have help from their parents, have a job, or already have the money saved up. It’s probably too late for you to do this, but I put aside money each quarter from my award ($500), and use it for summer term. Definitely talk to a financial advisor in the future.
