I lost my financial aid at the end of spring semester '10, i appealed and got it back for fall semester '10. I was told I had to make all C's; I ended up with a D in English, but I raised my GPA of 1.52 to 2.10 and I went from academic probation to good academic standing. When I called to see if I was off of financial aid suspension, I was told that I wasn't. Is there anything I could do to get my financial aid back since I am back in good standards?

P.S.- I know someone that had to make 2 B's and he made a C in one of his classes but he also raised his GPA up to good standards and he got his financial aid back.

I replied to your other thread earlier…did you go back and look at the probationary period terms and look up your school’s definition of SAP? I’m guessing that you haven’t met the criteria for earned credits vs. attempted. If they aren’t willing to grant you another semester of probation (which seems iffy given the D in English), you’ll need to pay for your coursework until you do meet their standards.

According to the catalog I am in good standards; I have to have at least a 1.80 and I have a 2.10. I really don’t understand why I can’t get it back; I really regret taking English this semester. : (

But have you successfully completed at least 67% of the credits you’ve attempted? There’s always two parts to the standard - gpa and percent completed. The latter is required by the federal government. What does the FA office and your advisor say? If you don’t understand, you need to ask them…and keep asking questions until it’s clear to you!

You were given specific requirements that YOU had to meet as a condition of your appeal. If you did not meet those conditions, you lose your aid. The general terms of SAP apply to all … the conditions of your appeal apply to you.
