What are my chances for appealing my 2nd suspension? My requirements to meet were to receive a 2.5 GPA and Complete all my course. I complete 100% of my course but my GPA was 2.46, .04 shy. Do i have high chances?
“High chances”??
While I have no background here, I would have to say no. (Or, less PC: “Absolutely not!!!”)
Your second suspension sounds to me like a gift. I’m not sure any school will be generous enough to go for a third strike.
I would think it would look worse for schools to lose students. It is my fault for not meeting standards but i feel .04 isn’t too far from what was required. I passed with 2 B’s and 2 C’s although i wish i hadn’t gotten C’s. I don’t think it’s a blessing because i worked very hard to do well this semester having served a semester suspension after not performing well when i had my baby. I’m still a single mother and doing school full time. I hope they approve my appeal. I’ll continue to keep practicing wishful thinking. Also, I’m not on an academic suspension.
It is not a matter of your school losing students as it is you are getting aid to attend. The requirement is to get a 2.5 and you did not do this the first time. They gave you a chance and one again you fell short.
No the question is why should the school continue to financially support your education when you are not doing what you are supposed to do. No one is saying that you can no longer attend school: the college just no longer wants to financially support you in doing so
