So, my freshman year I went to a big university and got pretty sucked into all the excitement. Unfortunately with all the excitement, getting good grades became less of a priority than my social life. I was put on academic probation after my first semester and after my second semester my financial aid was suspended. I found out that it could be appealed but not before it was too late to register for classes again. Anyway, I have recently applied to a community college in my area and I was wondering if I were to go there, would I have to try to appeal my financial aid suspension through the community college or would I got through the university I initially attended? If the criteria is different at the community college, would I even need to appeal it, or could I just enroll in classes again? I honestly have no idea what I am doing here and really desperately want to be back in school, so the more feedback the better. Thanks so much!

I believe you would start over again and apply for financial aid from your new school.
