Financial aid to attend Welcome Day?!

Hey guys~!!
So I'm very excited to have been admitted to NU's class of 2017!! I was accepted into the Doctors of Pharm program at Bouve College~ and their welcome day is Feb. 9th. I highly wish to attend; however, I live in California! Does anyone know if there's anyway for me to be able to get any financial aid to cover at least some expenses for the trip? I will call NU tomorrow to ask specifically, but I'm just so excited right now that I would love to see if anyone here has any info! (:
GO HUSKIES!!!!!!! <333

Last year, only Northeastern Scholars were offered a grant to attend Welcome Day.

Is it mandatory to attend welcome day!? And congrats I got accepted into the same program!
Ps did you already make an account and stuff like they told you in the letter? Is welcome day like basically an overview program? Do u have to have enrolled already and stuff?

It’s absolutely not mandatory to attend Welcome Day. A lot of people don’t, especially out of state students. On the other hand, many people who did go said it really helped them decide to choose Northeastern or reaffirmed that this was where they wanted to go. But I didn’t go, and it was never a concern.

Welcome Day has tours, info sessions, enrollment questions, some major-specific sessions, etc. You don’t have to be “enrolled” (tuition deposit) but you have to be accepted.

Thank you! That was really helpful…so it’s kinda an admitted students day where you get to hear more info and see if this is to see or reassure if this is where you want to be. I’m from out of state so it would be hard for me to just attend!
