I submitted FAFSA, as well as IDOC several weeks ago, yet it still says I have “To Do” items on my Cornell account. Does anyone have a similar situation?
We do too. I talked to Collegeboard a few times last week on a couple other issues, and in the conversation, was told that it was fine as long as everything is in by the due date. You can see on IDOC that is was processed by the 15th, and Cornell has access to the documents through Collegeboard. I’m thinking it will take time for Cornell to get things processed. Some of the items have dropped off the list, but there are still three listed. I’m not worried about it because I did everything I could on my end… and I’m usually a worry-wart about these things! Somebody else may know more than I do.
@bahiablue Thank you, I mean we did everything we could, so I think we should be fine
@OMGDEVICE I’ve been checking every day and the last three items just dropped off for me today. Did yours by any chance?
Mine are still there, except I have 4 items. When did you submit if I may ask to IDOC?
@bahiablue ^ look at the above message
I got them all uploaded on February 6th. They processed two items right away and the others sat there until they processed them on 2/11. I then uploaded my tax form again (the parent tax form) on 2/12 because I still kept getting a error message like they didn’t have it… even though they did. They had it listed as “other form” which bugged me. It finally showed up as parent tax form and processed on 2/14. I called several times for different things and they told me I didn’t need to re-submit the tax form, but I did it anyway. I figured they could ignore it if it wasn’t needed.
@OMGDEVICE do you mind me asking when you uploaded yours? Have they processed any of what you submitted?
All of my items were processed on IDOC by 2/13/2016. Next to my student non-tax filer statement it says “Complete a new form”, does that mean I should redo it? On the Cornell Financial Aid portal, it still says aid application certification, federal tax-return student and parent, and IDOC submission are on the to do list. Should I call Cornell? Could you PM me the link of where I can contact them? Thanks
I have that same link next to student non-tax filer. That was one of the reasons I called Collegeboard, and they told me not to do anything. They didn’t explain why it was there and to be honest, I don’t think I asked. It was my understanding that they would let me know if anything was missing, and the fact that there is nothing on the “To Do List” makes me think they have everything.
I haven’t called the Financial Aid office at Cornell, but I did see on another thread where others have called and said they were very helpful. Take a look at post #375 on http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/cornell-university/1835353-cornell-class-of-2020-regular-decision-discussion-thread-p25.html
