Should I be worried that Cornell has not received my CSS (filed months ago) and copies of my parents' taxes (sent in early January)? I assumed that they were just bogged down by the large number of forms they're receiving, but should it take this long? They seem to have received my Cornell Financial Aid Form which was in the same envelope as my parents' taxes...

My To Do list also says that they haven’t received my parents’ tax forms, and I sent it in a little later than you did. I might end up faxing them in again if it isn’t updated in a week or so…

You should probably call the financial aid office - I completed everything (including CSS Profile) in late February, and my To Do list has already been updated.

Is it a bad thing that my “to do list” doesn’t have anything…

I would call them to see what’s up before faxing or sending anything more. It might very well be that they just haven’t updated the site.

I would not be concerned – they are just slogging thru the forms. We mailed the docs on Feb 1 and the To-do list was updated on Friday, i.e., they have finally acknowledged receipt of the forms (or Finaid no longer needs them). :(.

lol ^ don’t be so pessimistic, maybe you were just responsible enough to give everything on time.

I, on the other hand, keep having new things added to that list. I sent my business supp form two months ago, and they asked me for another form because they lost it! And now, they are asking for a verification worksheet, but when I got the transcript the letter said I never filed taxes, which is clearly a mistake!!! Lol, I’m losing my mind!

ONLY NINE MORE DAYS!

We never knew that there was a “To Do” list… I guess better late than never…

@Feral24 – things Cornell receives disappear off of your “To Do” list. I remember when my Cornell Financial Aid Application was a “To Do” then it went away.

I’ve sent my Parents taxes twice and it hasn’t been updated. They also ask for a business supplement but we don’t have a business. Do they ask for one from everyone?

i have nothing to do but under the to do list it says account inquiry, my class schedule, and student center. is this the same for everyone else who has finished finaid?

I don’t think I’ve ever had a to do list though. When I log into app tracking, i click the link on the left for fin aid, and it asks me to log in again, then it brings me to a page that says the same thing as wow! has. I did turn in my fin aid stuff really early though…but still

How can you tell if Cornell receieved your financial aid stuff on the “To Do List?” I sent all my financial aid stuff like a month ago. If it matters, I am a transfer student.

I just called the financial aid office right now and asked what was going on with my forms, and they were kind enough to check the forms they received from me on the spot. They seemed to have made a mistake and updated my To do list right away. You should give them a call too.

Okay, I just called them, and they said that if I did send out my files, they probably have not been caught up with my files in particular. So if they didn’t receive any of my stuff yet within like 2-3 weeks, I should back. They are behind on their financial aid also.

so when i sign in all it says is that there is nothing in my to do list

does this mean i have it all in?

yeah. they disappear as soon as they receive your stuff

I would just call or email them. My To-Do list had the CSS Profile shown as missing, but when I emailed them about it, they just told me they have not updated it yet. They told me if I was actually missing something, they would contact me about it.

I sent in my forms on Feb 29 and the status today just changed. It does take a while but they should have gotten your stuff. To make sure though, I would call just in case.
