financial aid to middlebury summer language school

<p>I'm applying to Middlebury's Summer Language School. I wondered if anyone here had applied and if so, how much financial aid have you received? My husband and I are farmers and made 19,000 dollars last year. I basically need 80% of the cost paid for to go, but they have to give the financial aid money to somebody, right?</p>

<p>I'm also applying for the Kathryn Davis Fellowship ... there isn't anyone out there reading this who got one ... is there? I don't feel particularly qualified. It seems more suited to Peace Corps volunteers and members of the Doctors Without Borders program. But again, they've gotta give that money to someone.</p>

<p>I have a friend who went to Middlebury in the summer language school for free. She had an EFC of $1000 or so - not even $0.</p>

I applied and got 7,000 out of 10,000 which is still a lot for me. You should apply for Kathryn Davis. If you get it, you get the full coverage.</p>

<p>My daughter attended the Spanish school last year and we didn’t receive financial aid becuause their allotment had been distributed already. She applied in March, I think, so the earlier you apply, the better.</p>
