Financial aid to Transfer students

I have heard that UCLA and UCB doesnt offer any financial help to international students.
Is it so?
Please respond soon.

No they don’t. Those are public univs using tax-payer money for their aid. They can’t give that aid to int’ls.

They expect int’ls to pay the full cost.

Do you know any good universities that offer financial aid to international students?
I know most do. But im going to go in as a transfer student (if I make it) and Im opting for Economics.

“I know that most do”.

Well, that’s not true. Most DO NOT give aid to int’l students. And, even fewer give FA to transfer int’ls.

Really? Could you please tell me a few college which do?
I could look them up later and see the course and prospectus.

That list isn’t accurate for int’l transfers. Few offer need-based aid to int’ls who are transfers.

And, doesn’t that list include schools that give merit (not need based) aid?

You need to run the college-matching search engines to identify places that do offer some aid for international students, and then you need to contact each of them to find out about aid for international transfers. The only person who can do this is you. You know what you are looking for, and you know how much financial aid you need. Yes, it will take time. This information changes from one year to the next. The only way to be certain that you have the correct information is to ask each of the colleges/universities themselves.

happymomof1 : Thank you so much ma’am! I know its a tedious task, but I guess its an investment I need to make for my future.
