*** financial aid.. what happens if you don't enroll in 12 units?

Okay so i think i might be screwed... i got an email from warren saying you must enroll in 12 units in order to receive aid. I thought you have to have at least 6 units before the quarter begins 12 during the quarter..... if it is 12, I'm only enrolled in 8 units so far but all my major classes were already waitlisted by the time i could register, I'm pretty high in position on those waitlists but now I have to drop em for classes that are a waste of my time to take just to get the enough units to get financial aid..............

if you’re not enrolled in 12 units, you dont get full financial aid
Read up on it here [Financial Aid: Enrollment Requirements for Undergraduates](Applying)

Just enroll in a random class that’s 4 units and drop it as soon as you get off the waitlist for one of your other classes.

We can do that? I might have to lol I know they verify the credit count before and after quarters but they don’t verify the classes?

^What do you mean verify the classes? You can take whatever classes you want as long as you meet the prereqs for them.

I know, I mean if you were to sign up for a random 4 unit class like Avib0y said and then drop it once you weren’t waitlisted for the original class, they wouldn’t mind you switching like that?

^I can’t imagine why they would be. They just want you enrolled in enough classes.

You’re, or your financial aid, is paying for the classes, so they wont care about what classes you do and do not take. As long as you clear GEs and complete your major nothing matters to them except for the fact that you’re taking enough units
