Financial Aid When Transferring Mid-Year

<p>I've been rewarded a couple grants at my current CC. I'm signed up to get these grants both in the Fall and Spring, but since I'm transferring in the Winter I'm wondering how that all works out? They are national grants, so it shouldnt matter what state I'm in, right ?</p>

<p>Can someone just explain to me how transferring and financial aid works? Since I've been rewarded it do I need to go to the FA office, and say that I shouldnt get it in the Spring since I'm transferring, since I assume my new schools FA office will take over my financial aid ?</p>

<p>Can someone help explain the process and if national grants will trasnfer over easy?</p>

<p>Go in and talk to the FA office at your current school and make sure that they/you coordinate the change of funds to your transfer school.</p>

<p>While discussion boards are great places for some college information, for things like your specific FA situation, go to the primary source so that you know you are getting the correct information.</p>
