<p>Hey guys, I was wondering when the financial aid will be sent to see if it can cover my first month's rent in time. Thanks in advance.</p>
<p>At my daughter’s school all the financial aid and scholarship for the semester is credited to the Bursars account at the beginning of the semester (in August). Then any charges from the school for the month (tuition/fees etc) are charged to the bursars account. Then any money left over is paid to the student the next month. For the fall the charges to the account would occur in August and the excess balance would be paid to her in September. So she will have to pay 2 months rent (Aug/Sept) before she receives the reimbursement.</p>
<p>Don’t know about UCSD specifically but I think the above is fairly standard.</p>
