Financial Aid

Does anyone know how Georgetown is with financial aid? I really wanna go but will need a decent amount of money so that I can afford it.

Understand that everyone’s experience will be different and of course you need to be accepted to Georgetown (or any other school) before you worry too much. Based on our experience last year i can tell you this. Georgetown was very generous to my son while staying within a framework that I don’t pretend to fully understand. Georgetown appeared to to follow FAFSA formulas. I dont particularly agree with FAFSA but it is the standard formula. So, look at what your FAFSA numbers tell you what your EFC will be, to get a good ballpark idea as to what you can expect. Our Financial aid officer worked with us to adjust subsidized/unsubsidized loans, work study amounts and things like that. You may also be one of the lucky few to receive the John Carrol Scholarship $$ :). They would not budge on my request to reduce the $900. dollar deposit fee. ouch. Most likely you will need a loan.

good luck.

Ok thanks for all your help!
