<p>The financial aid on their website doesn't seem very impressive. I was hoping that, as a private institution, they'd offer more in the way of FA, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Can any parents of students or students who attend/have attended the school give us some information about how you were able to afford the tuition?</p>

<p>I couldn’t with just my son (got 8.000) but they gave my daughter’s more and I had more in college. They just use the fafsa but counted all my children, even my 21 year old son in grad school so that helped a great deal. Without that, I wouldn’t have been able to look at it.
That said, it wasn’t a “fit” they would have went if it was the only choice, but they just didn’t feel like they fit in.</p>
<p>D has $8K in merit scholarship and $2K in music minor scholarship per year. And works for her spending money. Given that Marist has lower tuition than many private colleges, this brought it to a level we can afford (we saved for college).</p>
