Is GW generous in giving out financial aid..?

You will probably get as many different answers as members on this forum!

Do you mean “merit” aid or “needs-based” aid or both? There are many variables to consider - my “S” received a presidential scholarship and grant aid that essentially covered 50% of his total annual cost of attendance.

The better your grades/GPA, SAT’s - the better you chances for more merit aid. The less your parents make, more sibs in college, less assets - the more “free” nedes aid.

GW did meet 100% of our “need” - as defined by the following: COA (Cost of attandence)-EFC (Expected family contribution) = Your FA Need. You can get an estimate of your “EFC” by going to [Home - FAFSA on the Web-Federal Student Aid](http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/)

I’m sure there will many nore posts with differing opinions!
