I am really stressing over this. I, being the inexperienced high school senior, thought that my schools only need the FAFSA. However, as I stayed home from school today because I am sick, I noticed not only did the schools I applied to have additional financial aid applications, but I missed the deadlines (they were Feb 1st of course).

Will they still accept applications if I power them out? I applied to UPenn and Brown. Luckily, Columbia and NYU is March 1st.

Once you submit CSS for all your schools that require it, CollegeBoard will contact you if any of your schools require you to submit IDOC. If they do, you will submit the IDOC forms which involve things like your tax returns, your parents’ tax returns, your W-2 forms, etc. You will mail all these things (CollegeBoard will give you a list) to CollegeBoard, who will then make them available to those of your schools that have asked for them.

Interesting. We haven’t heard from College Board but a few schools that my D is applying to have requested tax documents etc. So we sent them directly to them.

whoazoe is right. You submit your CSS Profile (on CollegeBoard), and in mid-February (I got mine a few days ago), you’ll get an e-mail with a link telling you to submit the IDOC, another financial aid form. Some schools may require tax return forms, income information, etc. For internationals, some may even require citizenship documentation (e.g. Cornell).
