Financial aid?

Does anyone know when to expect our financial aid packages because recently other schools that I have applied to are releasing them. Thank you.

I want to know too

Haha hopefully someone will respond

You should call or email the Admissions/Financial Aid office. I understand that you usually get them within 2-3 weeks of acceptance

Hmm I got it into honors but I haven’t received any money yet and I got accepted in november

Since FAFSA was due on March 1 (2 weeks later than most schools), I would expect Pitt’s to come out 2 weeks later than most.

With the financial mess (see Governor budget cuts) i’m scared to see my award letter this year.

Maybe they’ll bill you instead! I wonder if they’ll apply a fudge factor to the EFC because of this? Probably has the FinAid folks in a real tizzy.

I just called Pitt and they said all scholarships were given out in February, which means I didn’t get one…

I called about 3 weeks ago & was told “mid-March”.

I think you are talking about two different things. Scholarships are not the same as financial aid, which is need based. So jackie and capemay can both be right.

My call was about scholarships so we were both given different dates! Oh well, will just have to wait and see!

I had emailed them and they said scholarships will be coming out March 15. I haven’t gotten the letter yet, so either I didn’t get one or the mail is taking a long time. I’m scared because I’m from California and if I don’t get a scholarship or some sort of financial aid, I don’t think I will be able to go.

Letters went out last Friday according to my friend who asked at an Admitted Students Day. He got his letter yesterday, but he lives in PA.

Financial Aid told me they mailed out 7,000 letters last week, but we haven’t received ours yet. They also said for scholarships, they finished those at the end of February.

Got my letter today, live in PA. Only loans :(

Same here - in-state honors. Only loans and work-study.

I’m more concerned about future tuition increases and program cuts from the Governor’s 50% funding cut. We are stuck with him for another 3.8 years.

Got the missing information letter - missing parent and student tax returns. However, our FAFSA stated we have not filed our return (nor will we until summer) and student will not need to. I assumed they would provide an aid package absed on our estimate. I guess I’ll call them tomorrow. Oh well.

At least. The people have spoken with their vote.

i got mine today (OOS, VA).

i got 10,000 in grant and my total package was 20,000. is this a good offer? i dont know what to make of it
