<p>So in my financial aid offer they list $6297 under "anticipated expenses" for items other than Tuition and Room & Board. (books, personal expenses, travel, etc) My total expected contribution is $5006, $2206 from summer earnings and $2800 from work-study. I plan on covering most if not all the summer earnings with outside scholarships, but my question is how does Stanford go about giving you money for travel and personal expenses? Do they just write you a check? If so do they do so prior to the beginning of the fall quarter?</p>
