Financial Aid

Does anyone know if Fordham offers a National Achievement Finalist scholarship? Their website references a National Merit Semifinalist, but not Finalist or National Achievement, so I’m not sure.

@tvcrazy: I was a Hispanic Recognition scholar, similar to Achievement but different race. I got a “Fordham Scholarship” for full tuition. I think being a finalist is worth even more.

@Soto: hopefully. Thanks for the help!

I was accepted on march 27 and I haven’t received any aid information yet. They have all the necessary documents as of March 20…is it strange that I haven’t heard by April 10?

No. The ordinary financial aid deadline is in February. If you just completed the documents, you have to give them time to see what is available at this late juncture and go from there. They are also busy with appeals, and the financial aid department also serves Fordham’s 1,800 students at Lincoln Center and the 5,000 undergraduates at Rose Hill. (Probably also the graduate schools and law school.)

They’re really slow with e-mails too right now (had to send them one to clear stuff up about my scholarship and me not being able to send a FAFSA, no reply yet). Be patient.

Also I forgot to ask: I got a financial aid/scholarships package last week and it has a form to fill out accepting scholarships and any FA. Does anyone know when that’s due?
