Nope, I’m from Texas. And yes, I understand that it will be reduced. However, I have to keep a 3.5 GPA for that engineering scholarship, which probably won’t happen… Do you know if you can override the acceptance since I already accepted it (in case I get the Texas Exes scholarship since I was one of the 40 finalists)?

I have a question. Will our COA go down if we decide to live off campus? I’m definitely going to live at Jester for like a semester or two to meet people, but the apartments in West Campus are pretty legit.

Is there a specific time financial aid is updated? I am obsessed with checking it every hour OK, every half-hour if I’m being honest and I need to stop!

I heard they award on Sunday nights, Tuesday nights and Thursday nights, with the updates made the day after that. Does anyone know anything more? Does a watched pot ever boil?

Still waiting for my D’s financial aid package. Anyone get awarded lately? We are down to the wire as far as second-choice school. I have to book a flight no later than Saturday. Keeping fingers crossed we’ll hear by Friday.

Current students: Have anyone received fin aid for next year? It says something like notification will be sent out shortly after Apr 12 on the website.

@UTmom2
I can understand your frustration with the wait. Hope you hear from the Financial Aid office soon.

I am also wondering about the Financial Aid for the current students. My Ss CA$H says Your financial aid award information is not yet available". Do any current students or parents of students know when do they release the information? Do any of you have already received notification?

Well, after all that stress and waiting, my D was offered all kinds of loans and the Top 10 percent scholarship of $2,000. I can’t believe that with my income, she did not get any grants. So disappointing.

I guess we’ll be saying goodbye to the Business Honors Program and hello to University of Arizona and its full-ride scholarship.

Good luck to everyone else still waiting to hear.

UTMom2 – best of luck to you and your daughter. UT offered us $47k in loans (we are OOS), a very sobering number. We knew that OOS would not lead to any money for us, but it does seem that even in-state is hard to come by.

Congrats on the full ride – not everyone can say they were offered that anywhere.
