Financial Aid

Okay so when I log into my FSU account, I don't have any Financial Aid packages, and I'm starting to freak out.

It says FSU got my FAFSA back in February, to be exact February 15th. I applied after the deadline and found out I was accepted on March 14th. I accepted their offer of admission on Friday, April 30, 2012.

Where can I find my financial aid package? PLEASE HELP! :(

Should I call the Financial Aid office tomorrow?

If nothing shows up by this Tuesday, call Financial Aid and ask them. They are supposed to be updating the Financial Aid system over the weekend and will be adding summer aid and updating files on Tuesday.

What else do they need from me just FAFSA, right?

If they need any documents from you, it will be listed under the Alerts section of the Financial Aid Toolkit. If it doesn’t list anything there, then they need nothing else.

If I recently filed my FAFSA, will I still receive an initial package by Tuesday? I only filed it about a week ago.

If FSU received your FAFSA this past week, probably. However if they haven’t received it they aren’t going to be able to offer you any financial aid.

Sensei Pasbal, summer aid should be up on Tuesday for sure?
Gracias

Summer aid is up. Went from 4775 last year, to ZERO.
Fantastic government we have

xSidx - you didn’t even get loans? Or just didn’t get any grants, etc.?

I got nothing offered. No grants…just loans, kind of frustrating.

Sent from my iPhone using CC

Oh I just noticed why I wasn’t offered any grants. I guess it makes sense, so time for me to drop a class so it can be a little more affordable.

Summer Aid was actually up when they told me it would be. I’m thoroughly shocked actually that they were right, given their recent history of telling people one date and it being incorrect…

Pasbal-

Was that post really necessary? Just be happy that your aid is up. No need to throw a jab like that. Lets all be adults here.

Necessary? Probably not.

I’m ecstatic that my aid is up and that it is what it is. However, that doesn’t change the fact that in the last month people have been receiving conflicting information from the Financial Aid office on when things will be added or edited and that for once they’re actually right.

On the bright side, they were right that summer aid would be added today. On the down side, they haven’t finalized any changes to my fall/spring aid like I was told should happen today as well…

Well you and probably about 5000 other people (literally) are trying to get things done with their financial aid at this point in time. A person can only do so much in a day. Be patient things will get done. We are still a long way off from next fall

This is true, however, if you are like me and are trying to decide whether it’s best to come back next year and finish up your current track or to drop that and graduate over the summer, and most everything for Summer needs to be finalized this week, you don’t see Fall as a long way off, you see it as 3 days away when you have to make a final decision.

I got loans, i always do. I just don’t want to take out loans, since Fall/Spring financial aid covers everything. It is just a shame i didn’t get an FSU-Grant this summer, since i received one last summer. What were the requirements? Did i need to take 12 credit hours/in Fall/Spring? :frowning: WAHHH
I even registered for summer aid early

Honestly I couldn’t tell you what the requirements are for the FSU Grant over the summer. I got one and I’ve never gotten one before. I’m confused about that but I’m not sure whether I should question it or not.

Pasbal - my daughter also got the FSUG. Surprising. And, for the first time ever, a Perkins loan instead of a Stafford. She will be turning down the Stafford she was given in addition to the FSUG and the Perkins.
