If you applied to the financial aid awards on Minerva or the Bursary Entrance thing, when are they supposed to notify you if you were awarded any? Because I applied months ago and minerva still hasn't released anything? Has anybody else gotten the same thing?

Same here - I called Service Point, they said it’d take several weeks, and it’s been about 7 or 8. I read somewhere on a forum that it can take until July for them to release the information. McGill isn’t particularly generous with financial aid anyway, so if it’s something that’s going to make or break your decision, you probably shouldn’t get your hopes too high. Good luck!

Would it take 7 to 8 weeks? We went to the Canadian Embassy to attend the McGill info session in 4/11 evening and was told they would process applications very quickly and in a week or so notify the results. Something do not match here…

I applied back in February and just received the update today - totally refused Good luck to you all.

We applied last week and got the answer (Refused ) back yesterday. So it took exactly 1 week. I heard from another U.S. student that she got like 5k per year in assistance. I guess McGill does not have a lot of money to aid students. Good luck to the others.

Most American universities provide no need based aid to international students.
Most of McGill’s need based aid goes to Canadians, as it should.

I am an intl student and I find out that I have received 10k/yr.
Huge surprise!

I applied for financial aid last week asking for $8k, but I still haven’t heard back from them. One of my friend got $10k a few weeks back! I took McGill a month to let him know about the aid. But as far as I know, their financial aid for Int’l students is very limited. According to their site, the average award is around $5.8k
