Financial Aid

I was wondering if I could get some input from accepted students!

I have yet to receive my financial aid from Chapman, and nothing is posted on my Webadvisor. After being told by Chapman that it just takes time, they realized today that they had my social security number wrong. They fixed it, but they said it would take a few weeks to get me my financial aid letter.

Chapman is my first choice, however it is not possible without aid. And it is hard to plan having no clue what to expect. Have accepted students been getting good aid this year?

Any insight on what students are getting would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your help!

Hi Snuggiepower, Keep in mind financial aid varies with each student. Merit-aid depends on the student’s grade and scores, while eligibility for grants and loans depends on their FAFSA, etc.

My advice is to give them a few days after you speak with them. Keep an eye on your WebAdvisor. Most likely it will appear there first. Call the Financial Aid Office again if you need to. Perhaps they can relate the info over the phone. I’m sure they’re aware that people need to make their decision by May 1. Good luck!

Yeah, I got my financial award letter first on the WebAdvisor, then they sent my packet a week later (this was 2 weeks ago).

I got a LOT of financial aid from Chapman because my EFC is 0 (around $40 something thousand), but I decided to go to CSUF for its piano program & piano teacher that I wanted:D

With the large amount of students applying to Chapman, the financial aid office is swamped. Many returning students STILL have not received their aid.
