I was accepted into AEM a couple of days ago from the waitlist.

I am an international student applying for FA, so I'm wondering will I actually get any money at this point? My family's income is around 80k.

I know that Cornell doesn't guarantee to meet financial need, so I'm just thinking that I should expect the worst here. There is no way I can go to Cornell if I get squat.

Almost certainly no. Only a fraction of the accepted international students actually receive financial aid and they are basically the top of the accepted international pool. As an international student accepted off the waitlist, you really won’t get any money from cornell. The vast majority of funds for financial have already been used up for most colleges by the time they start taking students off the waitlist anyway.

Yeah, that would be the most logical case and I already thought about that. (which is why my expectations aren’t high)

But I was accepted like on June 15th. Most of the other waitlisters were accepted in may. And I think I read somewhere around here that someone got off the waitlist with FA. So would that mean they still have some money left?

Maybe. Never hurts to call and ask!
