<p>Hello everyone! I'm an out of state prospective student, and I was hoping to get some feedback on need based financial aid packages. </p>
<p>UT does not have a financial aid calculator for OOS students. Are there any OOS students on here who can tell me how generous UT Austin is with its financial aid packages? Do they come anywhere near meeting full demonstrated need? </p>

<p>I believe, there are only 2 options for OOS to get a lot of money at UT
<p>UT is a large public school. That already restricts its ability to meet financial need of students, and also since it’s a public school, in-state students get priority because their parents pay the taxes. </p>
<p>So yeah, if you are OOS, do not expect to get much unless you are doing an ROTC program or are lucky enough to be a 40 acres scholar (extremely competitive).</p>
