NU is pretty pricey so the grant vs. loan is important plus how close
NU was too the EFC you expected.</p>

<p>I got my numbers today. My parents have yet to see them, but I think they should be alright, although a little more loan or grant money might be good. I got more grant money than loans/work study(about 2500 in grants a quarter, ~1000 in work study and loans).</p>

<p>The letter came in today. I live pretty close so it probably took only a day for me to receive it.</p>

<p>You got your acceptance letter one day before I did, so I think I should expect this letter tomorrow.</p>

<p>Was NU's financial offer close to what you were expecting? Did your family have any guess what NU would offer based on any of the various Financial Aid calculators?</p>

<p>My parents think the aid is sufficient. I didn't ever ask my parents what they expected, so I don't have an idea, sorry.</p>

<p>There just aren't that many posts about NU financial aid in the old CC archives. Some of the other colleges I applied to are known to be very generous with aid and was hoping to hear good news (or any news!) from the people getting ED acceptances.</p>

<p>Hey everyone, I applied ED last year, and got my package the same day as my acceptance online. If you click through some cites online there may be a cite that has your package, specifically if you look through the financial aid page i think. I don't know if that is how its working this year but i remember that i got it the same day that way, and then was sent an email last year.</p>

i got 23,000 in grants, 6,000 in loans, and 2,000 in work study. it was a little less than the EFC calculators said it would be, but still not bad. so they have decent financial aid. i am worried for this year and what they will do, but i dont find out till june!</p>

<p>So, I got my fin aid decision in the mail today (I dont think it's comin out in email form), and I got $32000 in grants, $4000 in loans and $2000 in work study! This was definitely close to my EFC, if not even a little generous! I have a question, though: When filing the FAFSA, do they consider any other fin aid that you've gotten when they give you money?? Just wondering... hope u all get urs soon!</p>
