Hey I applied and got accepted, but I checked off that i will NOT be applying for financial aid because I thought it would give me a much better chance. Once your accepted, are you allowed to get aid if you checked off no? (is it binding?)

Michigan is 'need-blind' if you are a citizen or permanent resident.

Not sure about this...but I believe you will be automatically considered for merit based scholarships. Need based financial aid is a different matter.

Thats not good... i guess i shouldv'e done more research with that.. I figured they would want more people that they knew wouldn't be asking for money.... anyway, any suggestions on what I should do?

I don't think that's a binding contract you checked off, there. You can still apply for aid.

About how much would a Out of state student receive for a family income of $100,000?

esrajay--it's impossible to say. It's not based just on family income. It's based on adjusted gross income, and number of dependents, cost of living where you're from, the number of years until your parents or guardians retire, the values of certain family assets....

Is it possible for a middle class family from suburban Chicago (income probably around $150,000) to recieve aid? We have 1 other child in college right now (University of Wisconsin-Madison)
