Hey guys,
So I was just wondering about financial aid. My parents make a good amount (200k+), so I was wondering if there would be any possibility for need aid, or should I just pretty much not pursue need-aid because it’s not worth the effort?
Thanks
You are unlikely to receive need based aid from any school with that level of family income. Your time might be better spent looking for merit aid, talent awards, schools with lots of co-op or internship opportunities.
Did you apply ED to Penn? If so, did you complete the financial aid application forms?
What have your parents told you about college and paying for it? You have several other threads looking for schools with business or engineering or “premed” that give merit aid. Did you apply to any schools that give merit aid?
From another thread, it appears that the OP will be premed and parents will pay for undergrad, but the student would like to save parents money for professional school.
If that’s the case, then quickly apply to Alabama or similar. Alabama will give you huge merit for NMF. Your parents will have to pay extremely little for college leaving your college money for med school.
The app is super easy, takes like 5 minutes. No essays, no LORs.
