Financial aid

My son received an email that he had been awarded a financial package but when he logs into website there isn’t a link for 2018-19. Any ideas

I didn’t receive an email, but the 2018-2019 link is available for me

Actually, I just checked my UF email, the email was sent there not to my primary email. The link may just take some time to appear.

Where do you find the link? Student Self Service?

Got the email, but no link for 2018-2019?

@ncrent when you log into gatorlink click the top left corner and type in financial aid in the search bar

If you go to the UF Office of Financial Aid Twitter, there is a direct link that allows access into your personal aid file for 2018-2019.

Log onto One.UF With your gatorlink and click on financial aid and there should be a link for 2018-2019

Still nothing. We will try the twitter link

@HPfan101 the search worked for me.

unfortunately there was no aid offered other than loans. bright futures is also not listed even though it showed on on USF’s financial package.

We were just able to look and you are nothing besides loans

@livingis2me I messaged the Financial Aid Office about Bright Futures and the representative updated my file with the level I know I qualify for.

As for the loans, I’m in the same boat. They left around $6000 for me to pick up the tab on annually. No merit scholarships at the moment. When I did reach out to the same rep. about that in the Financial Aid Office, they said that, as far as they knew, admissions scholarships already went out. I sent an email to Admissions today to check though. No answer back yet.

Does anyone else’s financial aid award info for cost of attendance include tuition/fees for summer 2019? Not sure why they include this as part of the cost of attendance if D isn’t necessarily going to take classes in summer 2019

@Mom2NND Mine does as well. Not sure why.

I was processed as an out-of-state student. I have no idea why and was not informed about any problems concernint my residency status.

No federal aid outside of my Pell, and it didn’t show my Bright Futures. I was offered a $6500 Douglas Turner Grant, Pell, and tons of loans. That’s with an EFC of 0.

At all other schools I have been shown Bright Futures, FSAG, FSEG, and additional grants/institutional awards. I can’t help but imagine that, with the grant, I would essentially have a free ride.

@annabanabelle Contact UF SFA on Monday and get them to correct the error. It happens.

I think Summer cost of attendance is now included, because Bright Futures will now cover it (when it didn’t cover summers in the past). It surprised me the first time I saw it on Friday (COA is how much?!).

Summer info is a placeholder. It doesn’t mean they expect you to take classes that summer, but if you did, this is the “projected” aid.

FYI: This is the first year we’ve had the Financial aid info in ONE.UF, before it was in “ISIS”, so the format is new to many of us. . :-??

@Gator88NE

I definitely plan to. Is there a chance that I won’t receive the FSAG and FSEG because of this? Or for me to lose the $6,500 grant?

They will redo your aid. I don’t really know enough to make a guess, but it would mean you are eligible for any state based aid.

Good Luck!
