Financial Aid

With the FAFSA forms due to be released tomorrow (at midnight, apparently....my, what a wonderful way to ring in the New Year, eh?). I just had some questions about Financial Aid. Thanks so much in advance to anyone who can answer them.

1. I understand that I have to send my FAFSA report by hand to non-American schools like McGill. However, because the entire process has been moved online, how do I go about requesting paper copies of my FAFSA report? In addition, is it possible to request my report in bulk? I don't want to have to request one copy for McGill, wait for it to arrive, than have to request another one for Concordia, and so on.

2.For those of you currently at McGill who are American, how much did you get in Federal Student Loans?

3.For those of you who are from Quebec, when do you think AFE will release the financial aid applicaton forms for next year. Also, how much did you end up getting in total aid?

Again, thanks in advance everyone. I really appreciate it!

Just wondering where you got the information you have to deliver a hard copy of the FAFSA report to McGill.

I hadn't heard/seen that.

I think I saw a school number for FAFSA, so I would think McGill would get an electronic report, no?

Please advise - and happy new year!

McGill/Concordia and almost all Canadian colleges/universities will get
the electronic FAFSA. We didn't send a hard copy when my d. was
accepted ( of course, we got no aid anyway. ) With the US dollar finally going in the right direction v. the Cdn dollar- from 1.08 for the fall tuition to 1.165 for the spring tuition- its like a 7% grant(g). Lets hope it gets back to 1.55 like four years ago. McGill was a real bargain then.

Happy New Year and good luck to a new crop of McGill students.
