I wanted to know the chances of me still getting a good financial aid package even though I sent in tax returns late. churchmusicmom, I know you said you also got the letter saying you were missing forms, and I was just wondering if you still ended up getting a good package. I would hate to get into Barnard and not be able to go because of money. Does Barnard give good packages?

i just got the letter today too asking for missing forms. the main hassle is getting those non-custodial forms filled. i really hope this wont be too much of a problem.

Yes, we got a package that made it possible for our d to attend. At the time, our second child was still in college, though. He has since gradutated so our EFC has increased considerably (which we expected). Don't get me wrong: it's a financial commitment and one we are glad to make, and our d works quite a few hours at her on campus job to help.

I am sorry you have the hassle of getting the non-custodial parent stuff...it's a pretty involved process even without that. But keep good records and notes about everything you do this year (with regards to financial aid) and then when you have to do it all again next year it will be easier.

As to whether you will get a "good" package, just wait and see. They are a need-based school and guarantee to meet your need, so if there is a problem once you receive your package, you can talk to them about it. They are very nice!

Thinking about all of you....you will know soon!
