Any EA hear from Financial aid yet?

I'm not an EA applicant but I'm wondering what is the average financial aid package for freshmen. My EFC for the FAFSA came out 0, so I'm pretty much depending on a scholarships, grants and loans. Is ND generous with financial aid?

I have heard that ND is very generous with aid overall, but I don't qualify (mixed blessing) so I can't say for sure.

Got a request for tax forms and household info. I hope this doesn't delay their letter. I sent all the info priority so they should have it Monday.

i hope the letters come soon... I'm seriously neglecting every after-school activity I have so I can go home and check my mailbox

whsswim how did you EFC turn out? I hope you get enough money so your parents let you go. I am figuring the letters will come next week. Good luck

We will send our daughter to ND, even if we have to live in a tent... Would be nice, though, to hear from the university, so we know if we might be able to have a bigger tent, anyway...

I agree dd-we would like to know what size tent we will be living in next year too! We did get a note from the financial aid office asking for our W2s and tax records...not sure that's a good thing at all, but at least it's some communication! Does anyone know (a silly question) how much you owe in August? Is it half the total, or the whole thing??? just figuring...thanks!

I do know tuition, board and fees are billed by semester. For our son, we get the scary bill, which is immediately backed out for the scholarship for Navy ROTC....

We too will live in a tent if our daughter gets in and wants to go there. Unfortunately, we're in the middle ground where the EFC is zero yet there's no way we can afford ND, so she will have to decide if she wants serious loans or not. It will be her decision whether she graduates (undergrad) with $40K of loans or not. With some of her other offers, she can go there free and we'll be able to buy her a car.

=] i just started another thread for financial aide packages because they are out! my letter was dated march 14th and mailed out on the same day! I included my own awards in the other post as well

KR, if my institutional EFC is the same as my federal, we shouldn't have much of a problem.. it's high, but it's the same as what they pay for my sister (who goes to Kent State, which, no offense to her, sooo doesn't compare to ND), so that's what they said they'd pay for me
