Does anyone know when we will be notified of financial aid packages? Mine didn't come with my acceptance letter but i'm guessing it's because I didn't realize they wanted me to send in a verificaion form and i just mailed it last week....but everything else was on time. and is UNH usually generous about financial aid?

I have no Idea when they will be in the mail...but they did give me a $6,000 dollar a year scholarship, and I'm out of state with average stats...so they seem to be pretty generous.

good question rma32... let us know if you hear anything. I haven't heard anything about financial aid yet either.

I'm oos and i applied early & was accepted. still havent heard about financial aid.

what's "oos" I have seen it in other posts, and don't know what it means?

o- out
o - of
s - state

lol, I didnt know what it meant at first either.

I hope soon!

I just found out my financial aid. Go to MyUNH and then webcast or something like that.

Ah..thanks.

Hey..just checked..thanks linkinpark. UNH is pretty generous...26,000 dollars. 23,000 if ya take out work study. And...let's see..take out loans, it's $18,000 in free money. Gotta love the "UNH non-resident tuition grant - $7,500"

Yeah, lol, you do, its awesome. I got $19,000 overall.

how do you know how much you got? when i go to it there is no history for anything or information except when i click on Award Payment Schedule and it lists Federal pell Grants...and then it has a total amount...is this the amount of help i'm getting or the amount i'm expected to pay?

Totalt amount your getting. Hey if ya got the money, your not gonna get much.

Edit: Total**

Linkinpark, was it 19,000 total? Or is that without work-study and loans?

It's with work study and $5,500 in loans.

Nice. Much more generous than UVM.

I was gonna apply to UVM lol but decided not to last second.

hmm...this isn't very good then. i definitely don't have the money and the only award showing up is Pell Grants which aren't very much

ignore my last post..i just checked this morning and my FA info was updated. i have a few questions..i'll call UNH on monday but thought i'd ask you guys too because i don't really know what all this info means since it's the first financial aid package i've had to look at.

for the work study it gives me an amount...what exactly does this amount mean? does it mean i get a job and can make up to that amount in a year? or do i just get a job for a certain number of hours and they'll break down the amount it says and pay me that much bi weekly?

what is an ACG-1st year grant/loan...does that have to be paid back or not?

can outside scholarships be applied to room & board?

This question is for OOS admitted students. Is UNH non-resident tuition grant renewable for all 4 years, and is there a gpa requirement to keep it? Would you get this in year 5, if it took 5 years to graduate? Thanks.
