<p>Has anyone received their financial aid package? Does anyone know when and how it's coming? Will it come for me (ID) before RD decisions or with the financial aid decisions of the RD students? Thanks...</p>

<p>We got DS's F.A. package this weekend. It looked pretty good - small work/study, small perkins loan, and grants.</p>
<p>Anxiousmom: Do you know how the Rice grants work? Are they renewable, or are they likely to disappear when your daughter graduates (and the EFC is likely to change as a result)?</p>

<p>The grants are renewable, but dependent on need. My son will continue to get grants, work/study, and loans for all four years, up to our EFC. Our EFC will change each year as our income and the number of students in college change. His total student loans will be at $14,525 or less at graduation. The Work/study he has been offered can be met in about 8 hours of work per week. Very reasonable - especially if he can find some local scholarships to get rid of his loans the first year!</p>
<p>anxiousmom:Sounds like things are going to work out. I know how much you love the school and your D has had a great experience there. It will be great for your S and whole family, it sounds like, if he goes.
