i read in a book today that the average amount of money cornell gave to its students who needed it was around 28,000. do u think this is true? if it is, it will really help me out a lot cause my parents income aint that high

average ma'am...average...like grades at cornell just b/c the average is a B doesnt mean you're guaranteed one!

i am in ILR and just like you have need greater than 28k...as long as your Fafsa and PROFILE add up...you'll get the aid you need

lol yea i know i wont get 28 big ones, but it still is a big number =]

How much aid you get depends on how much money your parents make and how much assets your parents have!

Cornell gives 100% need. That means if you NEED it you will get it. The question is what will the grant/loan ratio be?

GL!

thank you :)

yeah, they don't GIVE 100% of need. But they give you a 100% "package". which includes loans. my amount in loans wasn't bad though.

my fafsa EFC was around 10k and i got 9.5 k in loans!! grrrr

sarahhhh- is that 9.5 k per semester?? Because My efc is tremendously lower than yours and I got like 12k in loans for the year.
