financial aid

i know this has already been discussed, but im still confused about this: if we are accepted, do we find out about financial aid when we receive our decision?

I called Columbia last week and asked them; they said that upon your acceptance ED, you're given a preliminary financial aid offer and then after you send in your 2007 returns and file the FAFSA (by Feb 1 I believe), they give you a revised offer

Is it true that if you an income of less than 20,000 per year you get full coverage with no debt after graduation?

" Students with family incomes under $50,000 will receive a no loan package. Commencing with the 2007-2008 academic year, Columbia will replace the student’s standard loan package with additional grant for those families that qualify based on their total yearly income. "
