<p>Just to let everyone know, Syracuse has started to send out financial aid notices. I got my letter today, dated march 18th.</p>
<p>Yeah, I got my financial aid stuff today too. I guess I'm pretty pleased with it.</p>
<p>What did the two of you get, if you don't mind me asking. I got $8,000 in scholarships, $7,500 in grants, and $9,500 in loans. There's also a $2,400 work study, but I'm debating that. It just seems like it would be more worth the time to just get a job waiting tables in the city. It says that the amount you get paid at the work study can't exceed the amount they're granting, but if I had a regular part time job, I should easily be able to make the $1,200 per semester and more. I'm also a little iffy about the loans, because they will put me at $30,000 in debt at graduation, but this is something that I really want, and I think it will pay off in the long run. I'm a transfer, by the way.</p>
<p>I got 15,000 in grants, almost 5,000 in loans and I also received the same work study as you did. I'm worrying about all the debt I'm going to have too. I think it's worth it but it still really sucks. We'll just have to wait and see.</p>

<p>i got an 8000 dollar scholarship and $0 in loans and grants. $40,000 minus the 8000 = i dont know how the hell my parents are gonna pay for college. i still have $32,000+ to pay for. we might have to sell the house or something.</p>

Did you get your fin aid package yet? The merit award letter came separately to my daughter with the fin aid package arriving several days later. She also received the $8000 award.</p>
<p>ya i got my merit award a couple days before i got my fafsa report. when i got my fafsa report it just mentioned that i had recieved an 8000 scholarship and that was it so im guessing i didnt get any finacial aid.</p>
