I WAS KINDA INTERESTED IN HAVERFORD BUT I WAS WAITING TO SEE JUST HOW MUCH MONEY THEY WOULD OFFER ME. HAS NE ONE RECEIVED THEIR FINANCIAL AID AWARD LETTER? DO YOU KNOW WHEN IT WILL ARRIVE? Just a thought.

It says on Haverford's website that financial aid letters will be mailed on or around April 1, so you should be getting the letter sometime soon. Hope that helps.

i got my package today...I'm very dissappointed. my parents pull in around 60g/yr before taxes, we have about 12g in the bank, some in stocks. and they're expecting us to pay some 34,000! my fafsa efc was 18grand....

doesn't look like I can go to Haverford.

I got my package today too...I got a bit of aid, but not as much as I've gotten from Smith or UD or Princeton. I'm still trying to figure out how this is going to work. Haverford is not one of my dad's favorite schools...he wants me to go to Princeton...and when he sees this aid package and realizes that Princeton is cheaper, he might try and force me instead of letting me make my own decisions...sigh

the narrator, that can't be right, I mean on their part not yours. They are overlooking ur need. APPEAL. A friend of mine got into middlebury and her 'rents make 100,000/yr. MIDDLEBURY GAVE HER 31,000 in FIN AID.

i got mine today too.. mine seemed fine enough.. maybe they made a mistake. kitty- how much is the difference? listen to what your dad has to say; maybe he has some good advice, but don't let him control you. this might help.. i think you can appeal to haverford and show them the financial aid letter from princeton, and they'll match it. i forget what school that was that did that.. i think either haverford or swarthmore. i'm sure they want you enough to be willing to do that.

Supposedly my family has an efc of 39k, according to fafsa. From Haverford I got a small grant and federal work study, while from Smith I got a merit scholarship and research grant, and to UD I got full tuition. Aside from UD (which is public state school), so far Smith, then Princeton are the least expensive schools because they've given me more money. I guess I'll have to see what happens...sigh

I haven't received anything from the financial aid office. Is somebody in the same case?

I am gonna go check the mailbox now......

Nothing. Ahhhhhh!!!!!
