Financial Aid

My Bright Futures money still has not been disbursed and I can't find anyone I know who has the same problem I do... Anyone here know why it might be taking so long? Anyone else have the same problem?

Thanks!

Mine still has not been disbursed either. When I go to financial aid disbursements it shows that my Florida Pre-paid was disbursed on 9/2 but my Bright Futures has not. ???

Are you taking enough hours?

If you check the receipt on MyUFL it says that there is a 1-2 day delay period for it to be disbursed to each bank

I'm taking 13 credits and you only 12 to be considered a full-time student.... the Bright Futures website says you only need to take 6 credits per term. The scholarship still shows up on my financial aid awards page, I just haven't received it yet and it seemed like everyone else had, so I was wondering if there was anyone else whose financial aid still hasn't been disbursed.

It seems like IDC2008 and I are in the exact same situation. I'm going to wait it out for another couple of weeks before I worry.

I'm taking 15 hours so I don't think that's the problem either. It's supposed to be direct deposited into my checking account. I talked to a friend who just graduated from Uf who said sometimes its over a week when people first start getting their disbursements until everyone receives theirs. I won't worry too bad for another week.

Hey toydiamondring: Check today.....mine showed up in my bank account this a.m. !! If it's not there, I bet it will be in the next day or so.

My daughter's Bright Futures disbursement is now in her bank account (it wasn't last night).

Anyone else get a random email explaining that the 2008-2009 allowance is $375 prorated by terms and hours? Is that money going to be transferred into the bank account as well?

I got the same email. No clue why. Maybe it has something to do with the textbook money allotment?

Is that $375 in addition to the money that has already been disbursed for Bright Futures?
