has anyone from RD recieved their financial aid package yet?

Jamiecakes’s son did. And a few others on Facebook did. I think most are still waiting though.

Ughhh, I can’t wait!

I received my package yesterday.

So how were the aid packages? Was it acceptable or should i say did it make it affordable for you? My D didn’t get merit so we are banking on aid…oh boy! EFC is about 13,000.

I was disappointed with my package but then again it was almost identical to the package that Syracuse offered me. Fordham gave me a 6000 dollar commuter grant and 5500 dollars in Stafford loans. My EFC was about 31,500, but I feel as if the FAFSA/CSS Profile can’t accurately demonstrate how much my parents are struggling. The aid is unfortunate but I won’t be accepting my package, I’ll be heading to Syracuse in the fall. If I’m going to pay the same amount for each school, Syracuse is by far my favorite of the two and it has been my dream school since I was a kid. I hope your aid is better than mine was.

i’m EA and i still haven’t gotten mine.

They’ve mailed all the packages, so they should be coming between this week and the next.

And knight03- That’s a shame about the aid. I hope you’ll be happy at Syracuse though!

Thanks collegebound91, it’s unfortunate but then again I only received 12,500 at Syracuse which isn’t really any better than Fordham. I have no doubt that I’ll be happy at Syracuse, it’s been the first choice on my college list for as long as I can remember. Ever since I saw the campus, I knew there was no other place for me. I assume that you’ll be attending Fordham seeing as how it was your #1 choice??

Hopefully. Our FA will seal the deal, but for now, it’s looking very likely. And I’m glad you’ll be going to your first choice; Syracuse is a great school.

Thanks a lot man, I sincerely hope your FA package is what you are expecting. Best of luck at Fordham next year, it’s truly an amazing place to be.

I haven’t gotten anything yet!

Simpson – Check your admittance letter telling you that you were accepted. At the bottom of the page, they listed the name of someone in admissions (and their email) who is your contact. Send them an email.

My D only received her’s yesterday (OH) – after it had been mailed I believe Apr 26th.

I still haven’t gotten mine yet. The admissions counselors that I’ve talked to say that it should come by next week (they apparently haven’t reviewed all of my stuff yet), and I have to say that worries me! Does this mean that my offer will be pretty bad? A lot of people seem to be disappointed with their aid.

anyone appealing? what’s the success rate?

From the looks of things, I think Fordham is getting a lot of appeals, so they might have a lower success rate this year.

Hope to get the FA package today. I had to submit additional statements but that was completed two weeks ago. Hoping for the best. I’ll call on Tuesday as they are closed on Monday if it doesn’t come today. Post if you get yours today.

When I went to Fordham LC in the fall, the finaid people told my mom I’d definitely get money based on test scores and grades. What did I get? A few loans and an expected family contribution twice what FAFSA said. Fordham has been crossed off my list. Bad enough I didn’t get into the theater department.
